MUSIC SUPPORT
The songs of The Pennsylvania Story are written to be played by a live rock-orchestra or praise band during the musical’s performance. At the most basic level, the songs can be carried out by a five-piece band (acoustic guitar, electric guitar, keyboard, bass, and drums), and it is with this configuration that the songs below have been recorded. One of the exciting things about this process of free dissemination, however, is that each of these songs can also be supplemented cleverly with horn, string, and alternate percussion sections – and we invite you to improvise in any way that the spirit moves you. Below, we have included chord charts for each of the 10 tunes, along with the downloadable music files. Look for electric guitar tabulature to follow in the coming months.
